Students for Education Coalition (SEC) Meeting: Monday, March 14, 5:00pm (TODAY)!
Exciting news… the SEC’s first meeting will be on Monday, March 14th at 5:00pm in Skiles 249. At this meeting, they will be talking about plans for SEC, getting to know each other better, and hearing from Susan Belmonte about pre-teaching opportunities. We can’t wait to meet you and please feel free to bring any friends to the meeting with you!
and… Elections for SEC
The Students for Education Coalition (SEC) is in the process of selecting its next executive board for the 2022-23 school year. This is an awesome opportunity to gain experience in student entrepreneurial leadership and to invest in the K12 community around Atlanta.
If you are interested, please take a look over the application, which includes an overview of each position and its responsibilities.
The application is due at 11:59pm on Friday, March 18th.
To apply, fill out the attached application, save it as “LastName,FirstName – SEC Exec App,” and email it to the current SEC president, Rachel Meyer, at rachelmeyer@gatech.edu. Then, attend SEC’s first general meeting on March 14th and stay after for a brief conversation with a current exec member.
If you are on the fence, you can attend the March 14th general meeting to learn more and talk to current exec members, then apply afterwards if you are interested.
