We Support Students Considering a Career in K-12 Education
Pre-Teaching Advising supports undergraduates, graduate students, post-docs, and alumni considering a career in K-12 education. We can connect you with career exploration opportunities, provide job search assistance, and support you in applying for graduate programs related to education.
Pre-Teaching Advising is part of the Specialized Advising unit within Georgia Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Education & Student Success as well as part of the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) within the Office of the Provost.
NOTE: Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching is not a certification program nor a Georgia educator preparation program provider.

Undergraduates can make appointments through Advisor Link.
Graduate students and alumni can schedule appointments by emailing Dr. Susan Belmonte at sbelmonte@gatech.edu.
Format: virtual or in-person depending on the day
Length: Different appointment reasons have different lengths of time (30 or 60 minutes). Please pick according to your needs.
Note: Advisors are not academic advisors and cannot assist with schedules, permits, etc.
Drop-in Hours
Weekly virtual drop-ins are only for 10-15 minutes and are in a public virtual space. No appointment needed. There are no drop-ins during Institute holidays. Appointments made directly through Advisor Link or by email are individual and private. There are no in-person drop-in times.
