Hybrid Routes

HYBRID ROUTE (TRADITIONAL + ALTERNATIVE)

A hybrid route is a combination of an alternative pathway to certification along with enrollment in a traditional pathway program (Masters of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) while teaching with a provisional certificate.  You earn a degree + certification (traditional) but teach while completing certification (alternative). Many M.A.T. programs are geared for those already in the classroom and have classes that start in the late afternoon or early evening as well as online options. Teaching residencies are also hybrid routes to certification.
