GEORGIA TECH COUNSELING CENTER PEER-COACHING PROGRAM

Below is a letter from Dr. Peter Hauge, a psychologist with the GT Counseling Center.

Greetings!

My name is Dr. Peter Hauge, and I am a psychologist with the Counseling Center who coordinates our Peer Coaching Program (PCP). The Peer Coaching Program is a program developed by the Counseling Center to offer an innovative way for Tech students to access a unique type of support to facilitate academic and personal success.  The PCP trains Tech students to provide one-on-one support and education to their GT peers and offers Peer Coaches ongoing supervision in the provision of these services.  Students serving as Peer Coaches are trained to assist consultees in identifying and accomplishing specific academic, social or other personal goals related to concerns commonly faced in college.

I am pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications from students who wish to be trained as a Peer Coach in Fall 2022.

Any questions can sent to me at peercoaching@gatech.edu.

Application instructions, and more information about the program and training, can be found at the link below. Applicants must submit an application with two letters of recommendation no later than April 22nd.
